Walterscheid takes agriculture forwards

GKN presents innovative solutions for coupling and driveline systems

GKN Walterscheid is presenting numerous new products for the first time at Agritechnica 2007

No. 1 topic: efficient coupling of machines

GKN Walterscheid, the world's leading manufacturer of agricultural driveline and tractor attachment systems, is taking this year's Agritechnica as an opportunity to present numerous innovations and attractive advanced developments to a professional audience for the first time.

PowerSplit for greater efficiency

New hydromechanical drive with split power offers advantages / High efficiency in continuously variable drive

The demands on the drive systems of high-capacity combine harvesters have changed significantly in recent years. Increasingly large working widths and growing throughput capacities call not only for more engine power, but also for drive concepts that supply all the sub-systems of a combine harvester efficiently and intelligently, i.e. to suit the prevailing working conditions.

New development in the Tractor Attachment Systems sector

Strong hook for large implements

GKN Walterscheid presents Category 4 top link hook and clamp-type guide cone for the first time

A marked trend towards increasingly powerful attached implements has been apparent in recent years. The increasing working widths of attached implements, and the associated rise in their weight, also lead to growing demands on the safety of the tractor attachment system. Above all, the top link hook plays a key role in this context, since it has to establish a particularly safe connection between tractor and implement.

GKN Walterscheid Cramer GmbH presents new concept

Better hitching of large attached implements - Innovative lower hitch point concept with 80 mm ball coupling / Play-free hitching makes for greater manoeuvrability and good angular mobility / Ideal for hitching trailed tillage systems

In recent years, hitching with an 80 mm ball coupling has established itself when using trailed attached implements and machines with large working widths.

In this context, tractor-side hitching is usually accomplished via special ball-type frames on the tractor's subframe or via ball-type drawbars for use in drawbar mounts.
