Fund-raising campaign for Mozambique: GKN Walterscheid's "Hearts of Gold Campaign" supports African village

As part of the "Hearts of Gold Campaign" – a Group-wide aid campaign for supporting social projects – the staff of GKN Walterscheid in Lohmar recently supported an aid project in Mozambique. Not only were the costs for a sea container and its shipping borne in the framework of the campaign: the container was also packed "brim-full" with clothing, shoes, household goods and toys – including children's bikes and school bags – as well as pots and pans and tableware.

Walterscheid app gives topical maintenance recommendations

As of now, the new service app from GKN Walterscheid offers every interested farmer, contractor and agritechnical mechanic regular recommendations on maintenance of the driveline and coupling systems of tractors and agricultural machinery.

The focus is on seasonal recommendations regarding the maintenance and safety checks of driveline components, such as PTO drive shafts or overload clutches. The information offered is rounded off by a variety of product information and practical tips relating to coupling systems.

New product finder reliably leads to the right coupling system

GKN Walterscheid is expanding its Internet service offering by launching the new "Walterscheid Coupler".

From now on, the new online product finder makes it easier to find the right coupling system for tractors and attached implements. The Product Configurator allows users to very easily identify the matching coupling system, including all components, and assign it to the existing machines. The suitable coupling system and accessories are selected by mouse click, usually in line with the respective tractor type.

Première for the most powerful wide-angle PTO drive shaft from GKN Walterscheid

GKN Walterscheid will be starting the market launch of the new wide-angle PTO drive shaft on the occasion of DeLuTa 2012, the conference of German agricultural contractors. The new PWE/PWZ 675 is the most powerful wide-angle PTO drive shaft built by Walterscheid to date. It is characterised by a number of advanced technical developments and special design features.

New cross and bearing kits were specifically developed for the P 675 joint. They are fitted with the blue P-seals, which make it possible to increase the maintenance interval to as much as 60 hours, depending on application.
