- PWE 675 Power Drive wide-angle PTO drive shaft
PWE 675 Power Drive wide-angle PTO drive shaft
GKN Walterscheid will be introducing the professional public to its PWE 675 Power Drive wide-angle PTO drive shaft on the occasion of Agritechnica. The particular characteristic of this PTO drive shaft is the new P 675 wide-angle joint. Despite having the same rotating diameter, the new P 675 joint offers over 35 percent more power compared to customary wide-angle joints.
The GKN Walterscheid engineers attached special importance to the smoothest possible running when developing the new shaft. This is achieved by a new manufacturing and laser welding process. Other new features include the use of more powerful universal joints and a newly developed lubricating system. The new PWE 675 was devised for heavy-duty applications, such as loading wagons, big balers, forestry cutters, etc., with tractor outputs of up to 400 HP.
The wide-angle PTO drive shaft is rounded off by the new version of the K64 cam-type cut-out clutch. Based on the tried-and-tested technology of the K64, a new bearing system has been developed that permits optimised smooth running at up to 1,300 rpm.
In addition, the lubricant volume of the K64 has been increased, meaning that the maintenance effort and wear are greatly reduced, while the service life is increased.

- Articulated lift rod
The trick with the joint: articulated lift rod makes for even greater convenience and safety
The articulated lift rod from GKN Walterscheid is a real innovation and particularly convenient when working with trailed implements.
There is currently often the danger of a collision between lower links and drawbar, since the links are located in the swinging range of the drawbar. The new lift rod creates much more space at the back of the tractor, and the risk of collision is avoided. To this end, the lift rod is folded into a parking position that lifts the lower link well above the previous lifting range.
The lift rod has a newly developed folding mechanism for this purpose.
The system will be available as standard for tractors in future and can also easily be retrofitted in most cases.

- Hydraulic top link
Everything integrated: hydraulic top link creates more space
The innovations in the field of tractor attachment systems focus on a new hydraulic top link with integrated valve system.
This new system eliminates external piping, since the entire valve system is integrated on the inside. This innovative design principle optimises the clearance zone and simplifies operation. In this way, damage to the valve or the hose is avoided in the event of collisions, for example.

- ePower Generator
Everything integrated: hydraulic top link creates more space
The new ePower Generator is a completely new system solution developed for providing electrical energy on conventional tractors for mobile use.
The ePower Generator permits operation of electrified agricultural machinery with an output of up to 100 kW and is characterised by a compact design.
In practical use, it allows significant fuel savings by reducing the tractor's engine speed. In addition, it opens up new avenues to manufacturers of agricultural machinery when it comes to the automation and open-loop/closed-loop control of their systems.
GKN Walterscheid will be offering the system for attachment in different areas of the tractor, e.g. for attachment at the front or in semi-mounted form on a hitch frame.

- ADSST stabilisation systems
Fixed at the back: automatic stabilisation for the output class over 300 HP
Type ASST-B automatic stabilisation systems from GKN Walterscheid provide a reliable, safe solution when it comes to coupling, stabilising and guiding attached agricultural implements on tractors. They offer the greatest possible degree of safety, particularly on slopes.
GKN Walterscheid will now be presenting the heavy-duty version of the ADSST stabilisation system at Agritechnica.
It can be used to reliably stabilise implements, even on tractors in the output class over 300 HP and with vehicle speeds of more than 40 km/h. The new ADSST is characterised by a compact design, since the space available on tractors and implements of this class is often limited owing to the tyre geometry, or because wide hitch frames have to be taken into account.
The lower link stabiliser automatically guarantees the required floating or rigid position of the implements when raising and lowering the power lift. Once the spread of the lower links has been set, this distance is maintained by springs, thereby making coupling and uncoupling easier and offering greater safety.
The implements are automatically stabilised by the stabilisers upwards of a freely selectable lift height. The system ensures that the implement is always centred, and play-free attachment is possible.
